Price Transparency – Immigration
Fees for Immigration Services
We are committed to ensuring transparency and clarity in the way we charge for our immigration services. With Colman Coyle, immigration team, there are no hidden costs.
We understand that clients expect certainty around the costs involved in their legal matter, as well as a realistic and professional assessment of the merits and prospects of success. Our team of highly experienced immigration London solicitors is here to deliver exactly that.
Consultations on immigration matter
A fee estimate will be provided to you once we have undertaken an initial consultation to understand the scope of work involved. We offer consultations for a fixed fee of £330, plus VAT.
This confidential consultation will typically take place either in person, via videoconference or via a call with one of our qualified immigration lawyers. During the meeting, we will explore the full details of your personal circumstances and carefully take your instructions. We will assess all relevant legal frameworks, including applicable legislation, policies, and case law, to ensure your case is approached with the highest level of care and accuracy. You will receive tailored advice on the most appropriate course of action to help you achieve your UK immigration objectives, along with an outline of the available options and an honest assessment of your case’s prospects. A cost-benefit analysis and a clear explanation of our professional responsibilities to you will also be provided. Before concluding, we will make sure you have sufficient time to ask questions and seek clarification on any aspect of the advice given.

Our fees are primarily based on the amount of time our top immigration solicitors and legal staff spend working on your matter. Time is recorded for all tasks undertaken on your behalf, and charges are calculated accordingly based on the applicable hourly rates.

Key Stages of the Application Process
We are here to guide you through each step of the UK immigration application process. While the precise timeline can vary depending on your individual circumstances, the typical stages are outlined below:
- Initial Advice and Strategy (1–2 weeks)
At the outset, we will assess your situation, explain the relevant legal requirements, and recommend the most suitable application route for you.
- Document Preparation and Application Submission (1 week to 4 weeks)
We will advise you on the necessary supporting documents, help you gather the required evidence, and complete the appropriate UK Visas & Immigration application form on your behalf. The timeline for this stage depends largely on how quickly you can provide us with the requested information.
- Biometric Appointment and Supporting Documents
Once your application has been submitted online, we will assist in scheduling a biometric appointment (if required) and ensure all supporting documents, along with a detailed covering letter, are uploaded correctly. This usually takes place shortly after submission.
- Endorsements or Certificates of Sponsorship (if applicable)
If your application requires an endorsement from a governing body or a Certificate of Sponsorship, we will guide you through the process and help secure the necessary documentation. Timeframes can vary depending on how quickly you can provide the required information.
- Ongoing Communication with UKVI
After submission, we will correspond with UK Visas & Immigration on your behalf if any additional documents or clarifications are requested, ensuring responses are made within all relevant deadlines.
- Approval and Document Return (within 1 week)
Once your application is approved, we will coordinate the return and delivery of any official documents to you promptly.
Please note: Timelines can vary depending on the complexity of your case, the volume and type of documents, translation needs, and whether any information is missing. We aim to submit applications within the typical timescales outlined in our service table once you have instructed us. If we anticipate delays for any reason, we will inform you as early as possible. Every application is different, and we will provide a more accurate estimate tailored to your circumstances once we have full details.
How long will my matter take?
In our experience, cases can take anywhere between 5 days (priority service used) and 18 months to be processed depending on the complexity of cases and the timescales set by the Home Office. Please read the current processing time here.
