Matt has joined Colman Coyle after heading up as a Partner a litigation team in a large regional law firm in Kent which was consistently ranked by the Legal 500. Prior to his time at that firm, Matt was Called to the Bar in 2011 as a Harmsworth Scholar by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple after being assessed as Very Competent on the Bar Professional Training Course. Matt then went on to practise as a self-employed advocate throughout the civil courts of England whilst also teaching various legal subjects at the University of Portsmouth.

Matt practises today as a CILEX Lawyer and Advocate and specialises in commercial and property litigation in all of its forms and guises. Since working ‘in house’, Matt has acted and been the sole fee earner in numerous reported decisions before all courts and tribunals up to Court of Appeal level. Matt particularly enjoys cases where there are allegations of dishonesty/fraud or the need for, or to resist, urgent injunctive relief.

Matt is regularly lauded in the legal directories as a ‘stand out’ litigator.
